Why gritl?

Why Career Exploration Matters

Students are far more likely to thrive when they understand where their education can lead. Research from Guided Pathways Practices and Early Academic Success (CCRC, 2024) showed that early clarity improves momentum and reduces wasted time. Additionally, the NACE Journal’s 2022 study on course based career experiences found that integrating career exploration into learning boosts readiness and persistence. Lastly, Postsecondary Pathways for the Workforce of Tomorrow (CED, 2024) showed that clear, skill aligned pathways are essential for future workforce success. Proper exploration and preparation saves time, money, and propels success!

Why Emotional Resilience Matters

Emotional resilience is a key driver of success. Research shows that young adults with stronger resilience enjoy greater life satisfaction, social support, and achievement (HanımoÄŸlu, 2025).  Additionally U.S. workers with greater resilience experience less burnout and perform more effectively on the job (Bartone, McDonald & Hansma, 2022). Lastly, older adults with higher resilience maintain independence, daily functioning, and social participation (Saez‑Sanz et al., 2025). It doesn't matter what stage of life you're in; emotional resilience matters.

Why Physical Fitness Matters

Regular physical activity is one of the strongest predictors of long term health. The WHO 2020 Guidelines (Bull et al., 2020) found that meeting activity recommendations lowers risk of chronic disease, anxiety, and depression while improving overall physical and mental health. Additionally, JAMA Network Open study (Saint-Maurice et al., 2024) showed that U.S. adults who follow these guidelines have significantly lower mortality at every age. Similarly, Zhang et al. (2024) in Frontiers in Public Health showed that low activity and high sedentary time dramatically increase mortality risk.  Staying active is essential for our health, longevity, and quality of life.
